These are classical divisions of the solar day — planning context from tradition, not predictions or warnings about outcomes.
This is the sky's calendar. Your chart is how it lands for you.
The panchāṅga is the same for everyone in Chandigarh today. Personal reflection depends on your own birth chart — your daśā period, transits and houses. Jyotisya calculates those factors in about a minute, free, and lets you inspect the evidence and limits behind the reference reading.

How this is calculated
- All positions use the same pinned astronomy engine and Lahiri IAE ayanamsha as the birth-chart engine, so the almanac and a chart calculated for the same instant always agree.
- The five limbs are stated as of local sunrise; each limb's end time is the instant its defining angle crosses the next classical boundary (tithi and karana from the Sun-Moon elongation, nitya yoga from the Sun+Moon sum in sidereal longitude, nakshatra from the sidereal Moon).
- Rahu Kalam, Gulika Kalam and Yamaganda divide sunrise-to-sunset into eight equal segments selected by weekday; Abhijit muhurta is the eighth of fifteen equal day muhurtas; Brahma muhurta is the second-to-last night muhurta pair before sunrise.
- Timing windows are classical day divisions for planning and observance. They are not predictions, guarantees or warnings about what will happen.
- Cities outside the tropics can have distorted windows near solstices; the computation still uses the actual local sunrise and sunset for that date.
- Principal festival source layer: Rashtriya Panchang, Positional Astronomy Centre, India Meteorological Department. Regional variants remain separately labelled.
